The Wings to End Stigma Float made its first appearance at the 2024 All-Souls Procession in Tucson on Sunday, November 3rd. This float is a dedication or “ofrenda” to those who lost their lives to overdose. The float is meant to humanize addiction and overdose by placing names and faces to the statistics, and bringing the community’s awareness to the increasing number of deaths by overdose in Pima County.
Check out the newsletter on the Pima County Health Department website for more information on the float planning and design.

The Wings to End Stigma Float featured this video of photos of people who died by overdose and messages submitted by their loved ones. The video includes people of all ages and backgrounds, and describes the impact of overdose deaths on families and communities and the importance of prevention.

Pima Helpline is a community-driven and community-made resource. We realize that everybody needs support for mental health, substance use, or addiction at some point in their life. We also know that looking for treatment can be confusing and scary.
We believe that it should be easy for Pima County residents to find help for mental health, substance use, and addiction. To achieve this, we created Pima Helpline as a centralized place to find mental health and addiction treatment, services, and support.
