The mission of the Substance Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (SA RRTP) is to provide high-quality substance abuse residential rehabilitation and treatment services for Veterans with stable multiple medical conditions, mental illness, addiction, and/or psychosocial deficits. The SA RRTP treatment team identifies and addresses the goals of substance abuse rehabilitation, recovery, health maintenance, improved quality of life, and community integration with the Veteran. In addition, SARRTP addresses treatment specific to medical conditions, mental illnesses, addictive disorders, and other psychosocial needs. The goal of the SARRTP is to prepare Veterans to achieve and maintain their highest level of independent community living by learning skills to improve their functional status, sustain sobriety and continue with rehabilitation to break the cycle of returning for multiple treatments. The Objectives of the SARRTP is to focus on each Veteran’s strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences to tailor an individualized treatment plan to assist Veteran’s in meeting their treatment goals while residing in a structured, supportive, and therapeutic community environment. The Veterans are partners in their treatment planning process with the aid of the interdisciplinary treatment team. SARRTP care, treatment and service are designed to promote Veteran’s linkage with the community supports to assist them become more independent, self-supporting, and successful in their individual recovery.
