Beck grew up right outside of Phoenix and had an older brother who struggled with substance use from early adolescence. His brother was sober for almost 4 years before a final relapse with fentanyl that resulted in his death.
From his experience, Beck reminds us that we never know how someone is experiencing life and what is going on. Ultimately, people who are using drugs are still human, and sometimes Beck thinks people tend to forget that. He encourages everyone to approach life with empathy and an open mind. He encourages folks to find who and what makes us smile and to focus on their well-being.
Pima Helpline is a community-driven and community-made resource. We realize that everybody needs support for mental health, substance use, or addiction at some point in their life. We also know that looking for treatment can be confusing and scary.
We believe that it should be easy for Pima County residents to find help for mental health, substance use, and addiction. To achieve this, we created Pima Helpline as a centralized place to find mental health and addiction treatment, services, and support.
